Google has been infected by a virus which is a computer program that can replicate itself and can spread from one computer to another .This Virus has been infecting Macintosh computers and now is picking on Google’s pocket by hacking advertising ‘’Clicks’’, which cost as much as R10.000 on a daily basis. A component of the widespread flashback virus targets Google search queries made using Chrome, Safari or Firefox and directs people to pages dictated by the hackers. Those clicking online ads can be re-routed to websites of different merchants or publisher, with hackers getting paid 8c or more that would have been paid to Google. According to Google it has never received the intended ad ‘’click’’ and this ultimately results in lost revenue for Google and untold sums of money for the flashback gang. Fortunately Apple is collaborating with  internet service providers to disable this command and control the network. Hackers tricked Macintosh users into downloading the virus by disguising it as an update to Adobe flash video viewing software.  The software does its dirty work with directions received from the computer hackers. This will make Macintosh  loose its customers as they will realize sooner what is  going on. Although Mac is running faster in technologies but their security mindset is behind that is why they have so many hacking incidents so far. The  bad things  have learned from doing this attack in the personal computer (pc) world is now starting to transition into the Macintosh world.Mac users are advised to install the latest update from Apple to limit the vulnerability of allowing hackers to steal sensitive information.So this is a lesson that we should be more careful about what we click on whenever visiting Google to avoid being hacked.

The global positioning system (GPS) is in the process of providing faster Tsunami alerts, which the long sea wave caused by an earthquakenews24 . This was done by the German researcher, citing data collected after the last year’s deadly Japan earthquake which is a sudden violent shaking of the ground. On the occasion of the Fukushima earthquake the analyzed data from more than 500 GPS stations showed that a correct estimate of the  magnitude of 9.0 generated Tsunami could have been possible in just three or four minutes after the earthquake. This shows us what kind of potential a GPS shield has on the Tsunami’s early warning systems, not forgetting that this also proves how much technology keeps improving on a daily basis. These   are the findings that are presented lately. If an earthquake occurs near the coast, it can take just 20-30 minutes before it hits the land, but GPS measurements taken almost while the earthquake is in progress, would enable a faster assessment of its scale. The GPS’s traditional methods require more time to provide an accurate picture, often underestimating the magnitude of a quake at first. In the case of last year’s earthquake which happened at Japan, the authorities became aware of its scale only 20 minutes after the event. Possibly leading to many more casualties than if a warning had gone out earlier. This just proves to us that here in South-Africa we should be grateful we do not have any natural disasters. About 19000 people died when a 9.0 magnitude earthquake  took off the northeastern coast of Japan on 11 March 2012. This is one of the useful gadgets that we could consider as it saves lives so that the people can be able to know when to take measures when Tsunami is about to occur.

This is a development from Britain by Richard Wiseman that this app plays a soundscape to evoke the sensation of being in a particular environment during the stage of sleep when dreams occur. For example if on your dream you hear birds tweeting  then the whole idea is for the app  to make sure that you really do hear birds tweeting. This is surely the most amazing feature technology has ever came about. There are 20 soundscapes which is a sound or combination of sounds that forms arises from an immersive environment, with themes that such as Wild west, Space shuttle and a trip to Tokyo. After choosing a wake up time and soundscape, the user should place the IPhone face down on the mattress and the app monitors body movements throughout the night. During the last 20 minutes of sleep, the app plays the sound scape as if the dreamer is in REM sleep which is a state in which the body movements are suppressed and dreams are most likely to occur. The app activates the alarm when the user is coming out of REM sleep because there is only 10 seconds window when a dream will be remembered, then ten seconds later the dream is gone.

Aids testing goes Hi-tech

A new way of Aids testing has been implemented by the engineers to make sure that getting Aids results does not become a mission as in the villages people die before doctors could get results and  and recommend that patients start with treatment. The delay of the results  could lead to death. This is more significant for people who stay in the rural ares to get results quicker and effectively without the delay of having to wait for weeks when the results are at the labs.

In this present moment  communications engineers have adapted office printers and cellphone technology to wirelessly and immediately relay test results . This new method was invented by the Britain's Sequoia technology group. The printers are being rolled out in other parts of Africa after the initial succees in Mozambique  where the project has been running for a year. Even the advanced new technology needed to check for Hiv ,the virus that causes Aids in newborns is available in Mozambique as it is the country that is already using the printers.

Ever since this new advance technology was implemented a number of labs has increased ,so has the capacity. This means that there is a lot of improvement from since this new techology was introduced. Labs processing thousands of tests lack the staff to call clinics or send results by cellphone messages. Results end up being up stacked up until they could be sent in batches by Courier.

At the clinics the only thing that has to be done is to tear off the paper from the printer and hand it to the doctor.GPRS is reliable and cheaper than a text message so this is the reason this machine uses GPRS.Plans are in place to use the printers in Botswana ,Kenya,Tanzania ,Uganda and Zimbabwe. The disadvantage about this machine is what will happen to the patient who want their results urgent  and it is found that the machine needs repairs.

The bad facts about the Ultrabook is that it has been proved that consumers could live without the optical drives and larger capacity ,hard drives , long lasting batteries and portability over ports and connections. In that sense systems such as the DELL ADAMO  are ahead of their time. Ultrabooks are also very expensive when compared  to an average laptop. As they are new in stores it is expected for them to be expensive but they need some time for the prices to eventually come down to an affordable price by the end of the year so that everyone in need of it can afford it.This is a most amazing device to be created in ages so this does prove that technology is innovating and improving at all times.

Mercedes-Benz has yet again invented a super car that uses electricity. It is confirmed that it is in production and will be released next year. This is an invention from Mercedez-Benz that does not function  exactly the same way as the other sports cars, its electronic powerstrain gives the E-cell a 0- 100km/h (63mph)time of 4.0 seconds , compared  to the SLS AMG 's 0-100/h time of 3.8 seconds. When it comes to speed both cars are electronically limited. The E- cell can hit 250 km/h (155 mph) , while the the SLS  tops at 317 km/h (197 mph). While not quite the equal of the gas powered SLS AMG , the E-CELL is clearly in super car territory.Mercedez-Benz

The E-cell provides the four driving programes which are comfort,sports,sports plus and manual. In the comfort mode only 40 percent of the peak power is available ,also in sport mode 60 percent peak power is available and the dampling on the control is considerably reduced. Even though the power has been limited in these modes ,flooring the throttle will provide full power for those moments when passing with exuberance. In speed plus there are no limits. Manual mode acts like sports plus but also turn off the regenerative braking,in the case of the electronic motors the regenerative brakes work as generators to slow  the car while recharging the batteries.The flexibility of the E-Cell shows here.

 The design of the battery compartment is intended to be a zero intrusion cell protecting the integrity of the cars in the event of a crash.The body shell is made of carbon fiber-reinforce polymers (CPRF)and includes an integral spine within which the E-CELL 's battery is loaded.CPRF components are ligher than steel an 30 percent lighter than aluminiun ,providing weight which help to overcome the added weight of the lithium polymeter battery.

The bad news for now about the SLS AMG E-CELL is that, it is likely to cost more and the first run will be sold by invitation only.Common folks will have acces to the new E-CELL in the 2014 model year. But still for an electronic supercar than can out run the Tesla Roadster perhaps the price will be affordable.
